Thank you for yr comment. Dog-shit was used as an illustration of how demeaning Indians find it is to pick up waste from their own dogs and how, therefore, we are much more removed from Nature than we care to admit. I respectfully suggest that you re-read the article. You ask for something positive. There is plenty positive in the article -- and you know what, if you care to make the effort to reason out things carefully as suggested in the article, it is not so difficult to do. -
Hi Arvindji, I write from the wonderful country of NZ. If people were to pay attention to what one did and knew the consequences it would be perfect world. Certain mindless acts we do are habits. Habits due to civic allowance. There are no fines and no regulations in place in some places.Yet do we need to be told what to do and punish? We are itellegent souls and and have a critical mind. Do we use that? That is the question. If we make every act a ritual then there would be no such discussion at all!!! We don't and we need to get educated. Cheers, Global citizen
Global citizen, thank you for your comment. You have raised an important point. Should these simple things occur to us and don't? Or do they not even occur to us? If the latter, what can be the reason for it? Is there something we need to learn from the developed countries (including of course, Australia and New Zealand of which you are so rightfully proud). You can gather what at least I feel if you follow the discussions on this blog regularly and of course I would appreciate your comments from time to time. -AB
